Chelsea being the the five times defending champions is ready to face a fight to maintain it superiority within the English games under the new coach.
Their is no team who has dominated in the Women’s Super League era like Chelsea. Every last five leauge tittles have been claimed by the club, they have won
all the last 5 league cup finals, they win 2. they are England’s dominant force and, without a shadow of doubt, the club to defeat.
Now the question is, how can they keep up after a summer of significant change?. There is 6 new faces in the first team for 2024-2025, adding up to the senior exits, but the most notable change for all is the dugout.
After 12 years in charge Emma Hayes bid farewell to the club in may, being the head coach with United States Women’s
national team in which she already won the Olympic gold medal.
Sonia Bompastor was the former Lyon boss, her replacement, Haynes well from time coaching in the U.S and believes she can help the club boost to progress forward.
The new appointment firmly highlights Chelsea’s League tittle as the club carves, as both player and a manager. They hope she can push and provide the missing ingredient the team needed.
But continued success is also very important. The club are the team with target on it backs after 5 successive league triumphes and both Man City and Arsenal have made some good signing this summer as they once again
try to knock the blues off the perch.
How can the champions of England make further progress in Europe… And how does that come at it expense of some of the domestics success they have enjoyed or can Bompastor deliver the same time we are about to find out.
